Week 7 - Universal Dispatch
Welcome to week 7 of our 8 week series on modern technology, specifically in the downstream fuel space. This week we're continuing our discussion on our product suite, specifically our Universal Dispatch module, and how it drives value for our customers.
This is where it all really starts to come together. As a recap, we have a modern architecture solution that is modular and acts as a data hub and repository for all the different data sets - connected to the third party systems via API's. That setup allows for automated free flow of information and the AI algo's are making recommendations on what needs to happen. But, so what? Who cares and why does it matter?
I'm glad you asked. The last two weeks we talked about forecasting and best buy. That's great, now you know what needs to go, where, when and by whom, as well as what contract to pull from and what terminal. But the end customer cares about NONE of that. What they care about is they get their product, on-time and invoiced accurately on the same day.
This is where Universal Dispatch brings it all together. The dispatcher can now easily and gracefully assign the auto generated orders to their own trucks and drivers OR to third party haulers all in the same interface. Super clean, slick and elegant. Once the orders are assigned they can then be tracked, real time, so you can check progress and provide updates to the customers, if they want them.
If assigned to company owned trucks and drivers then the driver accepts the load and begins the process. The app is clean and simple to use. Every step is logged and tracked, making it easy to review what's happening / happened.
If assigned to a 3rd party hauler, they receive an alert via email, accept the order from the email itself and then go through their typical workflow, providing status updates along they way - either in TRUEFILL or in their own system and push it through to our API's. Viola - Universal Dispatch - a unified experience regardless of who's doing the deliveries.
Wait, there's more. Once the delivery is complete the reconciliation process starts, but that will have to wait until next week. That's what the folks in the movie biz call a cliffhanger :)
When you think about how you manage your end to end workflow, if it doesn't sound like the above, we would love to connect.
